Box Hill Community Arts Centre

Over a six month period
we consulted with artists, crafts people and other members
of the local community to establish the vision and brief for
this unique building. The ideas, art and craft works of these
participants were integrated into the design and fabric of
the building. Due to the increased exposure and functionality
the centre has increased its user groups from fifteen to approximately
seventy user groups.
The centre is much loved by its users and has attracted attention
throughout Australia as a model for community involvement
and artistic collaboration. It has received major State and
National architectural awards.
