Churchill Island Visitor Centre

   

The Churchill Island Visitor Centre provides an entry focus for people visiting Churchill Island, an island rich in cultural and natural features and uniquely blessed with an arcadian sense of peace and tranquility. Reached by a bridge from Phillip Island, the Island is the site of the first European dwelling, crops and garden in Victoria dating back to 1801. The building serves as a take-off and return point for visitors to the island, incorporating car and bus parks and links with a series of paths to the historic buildings and walking trails. It orientates and informs visitors about the natural and pre-european history of the Island and comprises of a small shop, cafe and administration, as well as a multi-purpose space.
